Brother TZe is a cassette family with multiple widths and materials. The PT-D210 accepts 3.5–12 mm tape; the PT-D610BT accepts widths through 24 mm. The UK PT-3600 consumables table also lists 36 mm tape.

Start with the machine’s consumables list. A TZe reference identifies a particular colour, width, finish and length; the family name alone is not a purchase specification.

Read the exact entry

TZe-231 is a 12 mm black-on-white laminated cassette. TZe-251 is the 24 mm version and TZe-261 the 36 mm version in the checked tables. Those widths are not interchangeable across every P-touch printer.

Short-roll and premium entries can have different lengths. Keep any letter suffix and compare the length rather than assuming that every TZe cassette contains eight metres.

Choose the material for the job

The official tables distinguish standard laminated, Flexible ID, strong-adhesive, fabric, security and ribbon entries. A material choice is separate from the colour choice.

For a cable label, compare the listed flexible material rather than expecting a standard flat label to behave the same way. For fabric or decorative ribbon, follow that material’s application and cutting instructions.

STe is a separate media type

The PT-3600 UK table lists specific STe stencil cassettes alongside TZe entries. That listing does not turn STe into an alternative spelling for TZe or establish stencil support in smaller printers.

Use the full reference and your local Brother list when comparing an overseas retail pack. The UK table establishes UK catalogue identity, not US stock or a universal replacement.
