The LabelWriter 450 DUO has separate roll-label and D1 tape mechanisms. DYMO’s chart lists roll references and then D1 cassettes for the same machine; the two supplies are not interchangeable.

  • Select the roll mechanism for die-cut address, shipping and file labels.
  • Select the tape mechanism for a D1 cassette; the chart lists specific D1 widths and references.
  • A LabelWriter roll item’s label count is not a tape-cassette length.
Restrictions
  • Do not apply a roll-only LabelWriter recommendation to the tape mechanism.
  • The chart’s post-April-2020 restriction belongs to 550, 550 Turbo and 5XL; this page does not extend it to the 450 DUO.
