Zebra ZD421
ZD421 printers use roll media. Identify the direct-thermal, thermal-transfer ribbon-roll or ribbon-cartridge configuration before selecting labels; no single cassette or label-roll SKU covers the complete family.

- Zebra lists maximum media widths of 108 mm for direct thermal, 112 mm for the ZD421 thermal-transfer roll configuration and 118 mm for the ZD421 cartridge configuration.
- Maximum roll outside diameter is 127 mm; standard cores are 12.7 or 25.4 mm inside diameter. Larger cores require the specified adapter.
- Media width includes its liner and is not the same as printable width.
- Thermal-transfer ribbon must cover the entire width of the media and liner.
